PRODUCTION TEAM

Director - 

Charlie DelMarcelle

Charlie is a proud faculty member at West Chester, who has been working with students of all ages and abilities throughout the region for over 25 years. He has performed professionally at: the Walnut, the Arden, Theater Horizon, Delaware Theatre Co., Inis Nua, Lantern Theatre, Azuka, Act II Playhouse, Commonwealth Classic Theatre, and White Box Theatre. Charlie serves as the camp director of the Pennsylvania Theatre Institute, West Chester University’s summer arts camp program.

Stage Manager -

Becs Smith 

Becs Smith is a Lighting Designer, Dramaturge, and Stage Manager. Smith is devoted to equity and social justice and is finishing their degree in Theatre with a concentration in Design, Tech, and Management and is expected to graduate May 2021. They are pioneering the virtual theatrical world by stage-managing Unmute Yourself, a devised production dealing with topics of Covid-19 and 2020’s social justice climate. One of their most notable works while attending university was designing lights for West Chester University’s Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS Benefit, helping to raise $20,000 for their charity organization.

Assistant Directors -

Olivia Dilorio 

Olivia DiIorio is very excited to be one of the Assistant Directors for Unmute Yourself! She 3rd year Theatre Major with a concentration in Musical Theatre and a minor in American Sign Language. Since attending WCU, Olivia has worked on many shows in positions such as Director, Stage Manager, Special Effects Prop Designer, Hair and Makeup Designer, Asst. Costume Designer, performer, and more. A few of her favorites include Director for Rocky Horror Picture Show, Hair and MU/SFX Props for Macbeth, and Stage Manager for The 21st Annual BC/EFA Benefit!  Special thanks to Charlie, Alex, and Becs for being an absolute dream team. And to our cast of whom I am so proud, BREAK LEGS!

Alexandra Savage

Alexandra Savage is a senior theatre major at West Chester University. This is Alexandra’s first time assistant directing a show, you can usually find her performing or stage managing. Alexandra will be continuing her career in Philadelphia theatre following her graduation.

Lead Editor - 

Lionel Phoenix McCulloch

Lionel Phoenix McCulloch has over 80 theatre/film credits. He received The Greater Philadelphia Cappies Casey Feldman Scholarship in 2019 honoring that work and a Creative Leadership Award from the Philadelphia Independence Awards in 2018. His play Quantum Suicide took 2nd place in the 2018 Philadelphia Young Playwrights Festival. A WCU Theater major, he appeared in The Visit and Macbeth last season. He is also Editor in Chief of WCU’s yearbook, The Serpentine.

Martin Dallago 

Associate Professor Martin Dallago is currently the production manager for the Department of Theatre and Dance at West Chester University. Previously, he worked as a professional stage manager, technical director and scenic designer. Martin taught several years at Temple University's Theater Department where he was head of the Design/Production Program. He has created for Carnival Cruise Lines, Curtis Opera, Philadelphia Theatre Company, the Philadelphia Zoo, Shen Wei Dance Arts and the Wilma Theater.

Sound Designer -

Tom Haughey

 

Tom Haughey serves as the faculty technical director and production manager for all shows produced by the Department of Theatre and Dance. Through a decade of experience in both professional and academic settings, he has developed a broad range of technical skills that allow him to bring a unique perspective to the classroom and stage. His courses, such as stagecraft and AutoCAD, train students in the practical application of theatre production and scenic construction. Thomas' professional experience in scenic design and production includes work for The University of Connecticut, Connecticut Repertory Theatre, Beaver College (now Arcadia University), The People's Light and Theatre Company, and ESPN, as well as numerous seasons of one-a-week summer stock in New Jersey.

COSTUMES

Costume Designer -

Constance Case

 

Constance Case is an Associate Professor of Costume Design and Technology at West Chester University of Pennsylvania. She has designed costumes, hair, and makeup for over 150 theatre and dance pieces in both professional and academic settings including the  Act 2 Playhouse in Ambler, Hedgerow Theatre in Media, the Woolly Mammoth Theatre and the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and the Harmonie Park Playhouse in Detroit, Michigan.  Ms. Case’s costume design philosophy is to present a true visual representation of character so that you, the audience, can have the best possible experience at the theatre.
